Bio

Recently, I hold the position Professor (Specialty: Food Process Engineering) at the Department of Agricultural Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture, Cairo University, Egypt. I got a long-term governmental scholarship, to carry out my doctoral research abroad, from the German Academic Exchange (DAAD). I have been my Ph.D from the Humboldt Univesity of Berlin, Germany. I got twice a postdoctoral scholarship for 3 months by DAAD at the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering Potsdam-Bornim (ATB) in Germany at 2009 and 2013. Besides, I got a postdoctoral Scholarship by Fulbright Commission Egypt at 2010 at the Washnigton State University for one year. I speak fluently four languages: English, German, and Arabic (my native language). I have more than 20 publications thereof 5 peer-reviewed articles published in international journals with impact factor (e.g. Energy Conversion and Management, Drying Technology, Renewable Energy and Journal of Food Process Engineering). I attended more than 10 international conferences and workshops, where I participated in organizing 8 international conferences and exhibitions. Additionally, I teach 15 undergraduate and postgraduate courses in agricultural and biological engineering. I attended 15 professional training courses. I visited several countries: USA, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Saudi Arabia, USA, Hungry, Poland, and Ukrania.
Furthermore, I am a member in some of scientific societies The Egyptian Agricultural Syndicate besides Misr Society of Agricultural Engineering (MSAE). I serve as a peer reviewer for 15 scientific journals, where I reviewed more than 75 research papers. I have supervised 1 Ph.D. students, 1 M.Sc. student, 12 B.Sc. students, 2 trainees, 15 technicians, and 6 staff members. My main research and teaching interests are: food process engineering, post-harvest technology, renewable energy mathematical modeling, thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer.
