Amira Elayouty
is an Assisstant Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University, Egypt. She has been awarded her PhD degree in Statistics from the School of Mathematics and Statistics, University of Glasgow, United Kingdom. She received her M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Statistics (with honors) from Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University.
Her research interests include spatio-temporal modelling, generalized additive models, smoothing, functional data analysis with a particular focus on high-frequency and big environmental data and statistics. She joined the International Environmetrics Society (TIES) in 2011 and has been selected for the John Wiley and TIES best student presentation award twice at 2011 and 2016. Elayouty is now a Global representative for the International Environmetrics Society (TIES) for the period 2021-2025 and is currently leading the new early-career researchers mentoring scheme committee for the society
