Amr Taha received his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University in 2001 and 2007 respectively. He is currently pursuing his PhD degree from the same university where he works as a teacher assistant. He worked as a professional embedded firmware engineer since 2011 and currently is the R&D department manager in Edge Technology (S.A.E.). He is also a professional embedded systems trainer. He joined the thermoacoustic research team as a part-time research assistant at the AUC in November 2014. He is responsible for electrical and electronic systems design, component specification, systems maintenance and trouble shooting. His technical skills include embedded systems hardware design, embedded systems firmware development, industrial automation, PV for residential applications, solar irrigation, and motor control. His research interests include Power Electronics, motion control, DSP, electrical measurements, renewable energies, and modern electrical lighting.
