Dr. Mohamed Ashry is a lecturer of Animal Reproduction (Theriogenology), Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University, Giza 1221, Egypt. Postdoctoral Research associate, Department of Animal Science, Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI 248824, USA
Dr. Ashry was graduated with Bachelor of Veterinary Medical Sciences (BVSc) in 2005 from Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University. Then, He earned his masters of Veterinary Medical Science (MVSc) in 2009 with thesis entitled “Ultrasonographic pregnancy diagnosis in dogs” from the same college .
Recently, Dr. Ashry obtained his PhD through a joint supervision channel between Cairo University and Michigan State University with dissertation entitled “Influence of some molecular markers of oocyte competence on regulation of early embryonic development in bovine” under the supervision of Dr. Nabil Hemeida, Professor Theriogenology, Cairo University and Dr. George W. Smith, professor of Animal Science and Physiology, Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI 48824, USA.
Dr. Ashry's research is being focued on understanding the molecular basis of oocyte developmental competence and regulation of early embryonic development in bovine.
Dr. Ashry was awarded the German Egyptian Short Term Scholarship (GERSS) from the German academic exchange service (DAAD) in 2012. He also was granted a 2 years joint supervision scholarship from the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education in 2013.
