On behalf of the Global Alliance for Rabies Control, I’m happy to announce the World Rabies Day 2017 that will take place on 28th September 2017.
The WVA is kindly asking you to support to spread the message among your networks, as well as encouraging them to participate and share the events with GARC by registering at https://rabiesalliance.org/world-rabies-day/register. This year the theme is Rabies: Zero by 30, reflecting and supporting the global goal of zero deaths from canine-mediated rabies by 2030.
GARC has website and social media banners branded with the theme and its colours – please let us know if you’d like any other versions for your network - https://rabiesalliance.org/world-rabi…/event-resources/logos.
For the second annual World Rabies Day Awards, we’ve updated the criteria so that individuals working for international groups can also be nominated in the individual category, as long as they are resident/based in their nominated region, and the organisational category is limited to charities/NGOs registered in the country where they work. GARC hopes that this will encourage more nominations for community-focused rabies champions. Nominations can be sent in at https://rabiesalliance.org/world-rabies-day/awards.
Best regards,
Dr. Zeev Noga
