Research interest:
General:
Clinical pathology of animal, poultry and fish diseases.
Specific research field/s:
Clinicopathological changes associated with environmental pollutants in animals and fish, laboratory diagnosis of immune-mediated blood diseases in animals, coagulopathies, mastitis in animals, use of cytogenetics for diagnosis of animal diseases, diagnosis of animal diseases by molecular biology techniques, laboratory diagnosis of tumors in animals and poultry.
Scientific activities:
- Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses of clinical pathology at the Faculties of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University, Beni Suif University and Benha University.
- Published fifty papers in the field of specialization at both national and international journals.
- Supervised fifty – one postgraduate students for Master and Ph. D. degrees at the Faculties of Veterinary Medicine at Cairo, Beni Suif and Benha Universities.
- Shared as a member of the panel for fifty-five Master and Ph. D. dissertations at various faculties of veterinary medicine at Cairo, Beni Suif, Zagazig, Benha and Suez Canal Universities.
- Evaluated the periodical reports of the project "Establishment of economical protocol for continuous production of fasciola antigen used for vaccine and diagnostic kit production" sponsored by Academy of Scientific Research and Technology during the period from 2004-2009.
- Member of the Academic Committee for promoting faculty members in Veterinary Pathology and Clinical Pathology, Supreme Council of Universities, Egypt from 2004-till now.
- Awarded Cairo University reward for publication at International Journals from 2007 to 2013.
- Member of the Advisory Committee for Veterinary Medicine, Supreme Council of Universities from 2013-till now.
- Scholarship at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University, USA, 1984-1985.
