Bio

I received my bachelor's and master's degrees in Mechanical Design and Production Engineering from Cairo University, Egypt in 2010 and 2014 respectively. I am currently appointed as an assistant lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Design and Production Engineering. Prior to this appointment, I worked as a piping engineer at ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions Egypt, where I participated in 3 major projects with tasks ranging from preparing complex layout drawings to leading a team of engineers and managing their tasks. In addition, I worked as a part time mechanical engineer at the Center of Engineering Studies and Manufacturing at Cairo University.

My current research work is focused on the dynamic behaviour of polymeric composite materials including their fatigue life and failure mechanisms. My general research interests are the characterization and engineering properties of polymers, polymeric composite materials and nanocomposite materials - development of nanomaterials for energy applications and photovoltaics - advanced metallic and ceramic materials - advanced manufacturing technologies - product design and development.

I am a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers ASME, member of the Society for Experimental Mechanics SEM, and a member of the Syndicate of Egyptian Engineers.
