In light of the current climate change that has sparked a global conversation about how to adjust to a new reality related to environmental changes and Egypt Vision 2030, green libraries play a significant role in protecting the environment and achieving environmental sustainability. This thesis seeks to assess the practicality of implementing the idea and orientation of the green libraries in Arabic as well as the Egyptian libraries in terms of the requirements and standards for green building design and its internal environment, as well as what this may allow to solve the declining budget issues that libraries in the Arab World and Egypt experience. The study will also suggest a comprehensive approach to serve as a roadmap for Egyptian libraries wishing to become greener. In order to determine the actuality of the green library idea and its implementation in Egyptian library buildings, the study employs a descriptive approach in the survey-style format. A questionnaire and a checklist are the instruments used to determine the criteria and requirements used in the construction of green libraries.
