Professor of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy in Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University. Gained the Master and PhD degress from Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University in 2001 and 2005 respectively, with over 50 articles published in international multidisciplinary journals over +25 years, supervises/(d) +30 Master and PhD students from Egypt and other Arab countries as Sudan, Yemen, and Iraq
With special focus on developing local pharmaceutical industry by collaborating with pharmaceutical companies in addressing manufacturing challenges and implementing GMP, being a member of “Registration of Medical Devices Committee”, Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA), as well as leading training programs to pharmacists in collaboration with HOLDI PHARMA and Egyptian Pharmaceutical Syndicate focusing on LEAN manufacturing principles
With extensive research experience spanning from application of nanotechnology as emerging drug delivery systems to protein delivery, phytomedicine, tissue regeneration, and application of photodynamic therapy. Likewise, managed to acquire funds for 6 projects in the field of nanomedicine and theranostics with universities in Egypt and other countries as New Zealand
Won Eudragit 2018 award for best paper in EMEA region, Evonik, Darmstadt, Germany in 2019, also won best poster presentation award at 5th International Conference on Nanotechnology, Nanoscience & Advanced Materials, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2018, and international publication Cairo University awards (2009-2023)
