Bio

I have graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in September 2001 (BVSc. – Grade: Very Good). Few months later I was appointed as demonstrator of Microbiology. In 2005, I earned my Master’s degree in Veterinary Sciences (MVSc – Microbiology) and then became assistant lecturer. By the end of the same year, I won a local scholarship for two years and worked at the US NAMRU-3 as NPSC. During this period, I have been actively performing various standard cultural, serological and molecular procedures for isolation and identification of bacterial pathogens from clinical samples.

In July 2008, I got my Ph.D. in Microbiology. The Ph.D. dissertation was titled " Evaluation of Different Diagnostic Techniques in Spirochetal Diseases ". Later, my Ph.D. dissertation was awarded the best Ph.D. dissertation in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (2008) from Cairo University.

Starting from 2006 until now, throughout this period, I was able to publish several high quality research articles and joined several research projects funded by the Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) as a principle investigator as well as a co-investigator.

In June 2010, I was awarded the state incentive award in science. The award was in the field of agricultural sciences.

In 2017, I have positioned as a director of the Center of Analytical and Aapplied Veterinary Studies (CAAVS), Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University.

In 2022, I have positioned as a director of Center of Biotechnology Researches and Services (CBRS), Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University.
