Ahmad Nagib received B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in 2009 and 2016 respectively from the Department of Information Technology (DIT), Faculty of Computers and Information (FCI), Cairo University (CU), Egypt. His master thesis is titled "A Framework for Semantic Integration of Heterogeneous Sensor Networks". In his thesis he has developed a framework for semantic integration of sensor data as a step towards a more scalable vision of a generic open semantic socially-engaged platform for the Internet of Things.
He is currently an Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Computers and Information, Cairo University (FCI-CU). He is also a Research Assistant at "Advanced Network Systems and Applications Research laboratory" (ANSR Lab). He is currently a part of "Campus as Mashups Platform for IoT Experimentation" (CAMPIE) research project. CAMPIE is being developed at Cairo University and it is funded by the National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (NTRA) in Egypt.
Ahmad's research interest is mainly related to Computer Networks, Data, and the Web including Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), The Internet of Things (IoT), Smart Cities, Semantic Web Technologies, Linked Data, Open Data, Data Analytics, Web Science, Social Networks, Real-time
Stream Processing, Cyber-Physical-Social Systems, and Artificial Intelligence.
Ahmad was awarded Cloud Application Developer - Mastery Award for Educators 2016 by IBM.
