Bio

Abdulaziz M. Abdulaziz is an assistant professor at the Petroleum Engineering Department, Cairo University. He holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in geosciences from Banha University and a Ph.D. from The University of Texas at El Paso, USA. Dr. Abdulaziz interests fall primarily within applications of seismic and non seismic geophysical techniques and well logging in subsurface characterization and reservoir evaluation. In addition groundwater hydrology, soil & rock mechanics, and environmental issues related to groundwater and hydrocarbon developments falls within his interest.  Being an expert in subsurface modeling and fluid flow in porous medium, Dr. Abdulaziz presented and published several research papers in international journals.  Recently, he became attracted to applications of new technology in exploration and development of hydrocarbon industry such as microseismic applications, Extended Reach Drilling, Geographic Information System … etc.   Dr. Abdulaziz has offered several short training courses in the area of Geosciences, Reservoir Exploration Engineering, Reservoir Management, Well Logging, Hydrology,  soil and geotechnical Engineering, and Project Management for both National and international operating companies.
