Bio
Dr. Shaltout graduated from Cairo University in 1970. He obtained a M.Sc. from Cairo University and a second M.Sc. from McMaster University in 1973 and 1975, respectively. He obtained his Ph.D. from University of Saskatchewan in 1981.
He has joined Cairo University since 1981 where he is currently a Professor at the Department of Electrical Power & Machines. During this period he has served as a visiting professor at several universities.
His field of interest includes electrical machines, power systems and renewable energy where he has published more than 150 papers in international journals and conferences
