Purpose: Topically administered indomethacin is used in the management and prevention of ocular inflammation and cystoid macular edema related to cataract surgery and in the maintenance of mydriasis during cataract surgery. Pharmaceutically, the main obstacle in formulating indomethacin as eye drops is its low solubility and aqueous instability. Inclusion complexation of indomethacin with cyclodextrins (CDs) was our interest in this research to obtain stable and effective aqueous indomethacin eye drops.

Gyroscopes are sensors that measure rotation rate and are extremely important in many applications such as navigation and vehicle stability control. Despite being manufactured in many technologies in various shapes and sizes, micro-electromechanical (MEMS) gyroscopes are gaining wide acclaim due to the miniaturization advantage, and the potential of integrating the gyroscopes along with the driving and sensing circuitry on the same chip and/or package to increase yield and reduce cost. In this paper, we present a new vibratory, fully symmetric, decoupled gyroscope, along with detailed theoretical analysis. The analytical results are verified with thorough simulations using the commercially available software packages with the Coriolis force receiving particular attention.

Abstract

As a result of technological advances in radiotherapy (IMRT, IGRT) and the application of modern treatment planning systems, radiation oncologists are given the opportunity to apply more targeted and less toxic radiation therapy. However, with the representation of anatomical structures in computed tomography or conventional magnetic resonance imaging alone we miss a large part of the picture, including cellular and biochemical processes in various tissues that would contribute significantly to specifying the required irradiated volume and dose. In this context, MR spectroscopy (MRS) and positron emission tomography (PET) have a decisive impact on treatment planning.

L.Hassaan, A.Badr, and I.Farag, "A Fuzzy Genetic Based Classifier P System to Predict Cell Aging", International Journal of Computer and Electrical Engineering, vol. 3, 2011. Abstract

systems are computational models that simulate the structure and functions of a living cell. Fuzzy logic deals
with approximate reasoning rather than fixed. A classifier system is a machine learning system that helps to create new rules that can be used in classification in order to add new information to a given database. Cell aging is one of the main phases of any cell cycle. The rate of aging progression may vary from a person to another; furthermore, the cells of the same organ do not age in the same rate. In this paper, we are creating
a classifier system with the structure and functions of P systems. The proposed classifier P system deals with imprecise biological data of cell aging, so the new rules generated by the system should be evaluated using a fuzzy rule base. Transition rules and inhibitors accompany the P system and executed in a parallel manner.

Basidiobolus ranarum is a known cause of chronic subcutaneous zygomycosis. During the past decade, many cases have been reported with extracutaneous basidiobolomycosis. We aimed to review the medical literature on gastrointestinal basidiobolomycosis (GIB) as an emerging fungal infection causing a serious, and occasionally fatal, paediatric disease.
