Barakata, "Application of TLC- Densitometry, First Derivative and Ratio Derivative Spectrophotometry for the Determination of Eprosartan Mesylate and Hydrochlorothiazide in Pharmaceutical Preparations", International Journal of Drug Development and Research, 2011. Abstract

Three sensitive and accurate methods are described for the direct determination of eprosartan mesylate (EPM) and hydrochlorothiazide (HCT) in bulk powder and combined dosage form without prior separation. The first method is a first derivative spectrophotometry (1D) using a zerocrossing technique of measurement at 240.7 nm for EPM and at 233.4 nm for HCT. The second method is the first derivative of ratio spectrophotometry (1DD) where the amplitudes were measured at 237.0 nm for EPM and at 277.0 nm for HCT. The third method is based on TLCseparation of the two drugs followed by densitometric measurements of their spots at 290 and 270

Effective porosity (?E) in clean and shaly formations is evaluated based on a newly introduced formulation that requires acoustic-radiation data and provides superior accuracy over other commonly used formulae based on various porosity tools. This equation, which is termed as a second order acoustic porosity-Vsh model, relates acoustic transit time to matrix and fluid in addition to shale parameters.

Atia, D. M., F. H. Fahmy, N. M. Ahmed, and H. T. Dorrah, "Artificial Intelligence Techniques Based on Aquaculture Solar Thermal Water Heating System Control", Online Journal on Electronics and Electrical Engineering (OJEEE) , vol. 3, issue 4, pp. 468-477, 2011. Abstract

One of the most promising applications of hot water is aquaculture. Temperature is one of the most principle parameters affects aquaculture life. It can cause stress and mortality or superior environment for growth and reproduction. Shrimp is warm water aquaculture type need hot water supply. To increase pond production it is necessary to keep water temperature at 34oC. Artificial intelligence (AI) techniques are becoming useful as alternate approaches to conventional techniques or as components of integrated systems. They have been used to solve complicated practical problems in various areas and are becoming more and more popular nowadays. In this paper a control system using artificial neural network control (NNC) either adaptive fuzzy logic control (AFLC) are design to control the hot water temperature. A comparison study is applied between the performance of FLC and NNC. The performance of NNC is the best because the control design takes into consideration different variables which give an accurate output than FLC. Also this paper introduces a complete mathematical modeling and MATLAB SIMULINK model for the proposed aquaculture heating system.
