Professor. Yasser M Abdelhamid           MD

 Prof Yasser received his MBBCh, MSc and MD from Cairo University- Egypt. Currently he is working as a full Professor of Medicine and Nephrology- Cairo University and representative of Internal Medicine Department in University resident training committee. He is currently a reviewer in Internal Medicine Committee (Supreme Council of Universities, Ministry of Higher Education), a member of Scientific Committee of Egyptian Fellowship of Internal Medicine (Ministry of Health) and a member of National Nephrology Guidelines Committee (Ministry of Health)-Egypt. He is currently a board member of Egyptian Society of Nephrology and Transplantation (ESNT) and its Continuing Medical Education (CME) chapter chair. He is also a member of ESNT nephrology guidelines committee. Within the field of Nephrology, his main area of work and interest is acute kidney injury and critical care nephrology and he is currently the head of Acute Kidney Injury team in Cairo University. He is the founder and the current chair of AKI and Critical Care Nephrology working group in African Association of Nephrology (AFRAN). He was accredited by the European Society of Intensive Medicine (ESIM) as critical care nephrology training instructor. His main publications are in the field of acute kidney injury and critical care nephrology and is a peer reviewer for a number of international and national journals regarding his area of interest. He acted as the head and a member of scientific committee of many conferences and the director of a number of training courses and workshops in the field of nephrology in specific and medicine in general.
