He is a renowned educationist holding a double Masters Degree in physiology and Physical Therapy with Hones (Cairo University (1974) and Indiana University, 1978) and a PhD in Physical Therapy and Biomechanics from the Indiana University, USA (1981). He also holds Post Doctoral Diplomas in Curriculum and Educational planning from Boston University (1983) Diploma for the relief of pain (awarded by the American Academy of Pain Management (1990). Professor Dr. El-Sayyad has over 35 years of experience in a wide variety of Academic and clinical settings. He is the Director of Motion analysis Lab, and Former chairman of Basic Sciences Dept, Faculty of Physical Therapy, Cairo University, former professor of physical therapy, Chairman Graduate studies committee , College of Applied Medical Sciences , King Saud University , Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, ,Former professor of Physical Therapy and director of Biomechanics Lab, Wichita state university, Kansas , USA , member of the American Physical therapy Association, member of the American Pain Management Academy, Faculty associate of the National Institute for Aviation Research USA , Vice Chairman, Research Committee, Kansas Physical Therapy Association , and Dean Gulf College of Allied Health Sciences , Gulf Medical University.
Additionally, he serves as an editorial board member of two professional journals, Physical Therapy and clinical Biomechanics. Dr. El-Sayyad has presented over 200 lectures nationally and internationally to the healthcare practitioners, professional associations, academicians, and students.
