Research Interests:

Dr. Safwat's research interests include reaching sustainable solutions in treating water and wastewater using electrochemical systems and bio-electrochemical systems. The main goal is to optimize treatment systems by maximizing the efficiency of pollutants’ removal and recovery of pollutants, as well as the minimization of the total cost.
