Dr. Rasha Ibrahim earned her PhD in Electrical Engineering (biomedical applications) from McMaster University in 2012. She earned her MASc in Electrical Engineering (Wireless Communications) from the same university, McMaster University in 2004. Dr. Rasha's BSc was in Electronics and Communications from Cairo University in 2001.
Dr. Rasha served as a Teaching Assistant in the Mathematics and Engineering Physics Department in Cairo University in 2001. In 2002, She joined McMaster University in Canada, where she worked as a Research Assistant until 2012. In 2003, Dr. Rasha joined the smart antennas research group in Duisburg-Essen University in Germany as a Visiting Researcher to participate in the development of the project “Robust multi-sensor space-time processing for wireless communications”. Since 2014, Dr. Rasha is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Mathematics and Engineering Physics Department in Cairo University.
Research area: modeling the human ear, quantifying the roles of speech cues in human perception, and signal processing.
