Rasha Mohamed Abboudy is a Full Professor at Faculty of Arts, Department of Spanish Language and Literature, Cairo University and at the joint Master Program MULCH between Cairo University and Salamanca University in Spain. She obtained her PhD in Latin American Literature from Complutense University of Madrid (The National University of Madrid) in 2007. She is the Head of the Spanish Department of Al-Alsun Faculty in Luxor University (2019-2020) and was the Head of the Spanish Department in Pharos University in Alexandria (2014-2015). She is Director of the investigation group JHE (Young investigatores in Hispanic Studies). She is Vice President of the HEg (Association of Hispanic studies in Egypt). Her areas of research include Contemporary Latin American Literature, Cultural Studies and Gender Studies.
