Research and Teaching Assistant

November 2022 – Present

Cairo University, Giza, Egypt

  • Performed research relating to Machine learning, Remote sensing, GIS and Environmental Geology.
  • Attend and observe classes of the courses: Remote sensing, Environmental Geology and Geostatistics.
  • Support students in carrying out experimental and/or creative work in labs.
  • Assist in grading the quantitative components of the course, weighted assessments such as assignments, quizzes, reports, and exams.

Geoscientist at EUG Project

February 2020 – November 2022

GeoEnergy Petroleum Services, Cairo, Egypt

  • Egypt Upstream Gateway (EUG) is an outcome of the Sector Modernization project that was launched in 2020.
  • It is a unique and innovative national project for digitizing subsurface information and delivering a digital subsurface platform to ensure Egypt's subsurface data is kept evergreen. It will also promote Egypt's exploration and production potential worldwide.
  • Tasks vary considerably depending on the area of geoscience we are working in all types of subsurface data management, database building, data quality control, data copying, reformatting with transcription, scanning all G&G physical records, digitizing for well logs and maps, coordinates conversion, composite well log generation and QC, lithology interpretation, seismic data vectorization and enhancement, seismic data processing and seismic interpretation.

Trainee Geologist

September 2019 – December 2019

Al Amal Program, Cairo, Egypt

  • It is a training program for top ranked fresh graduate geoscientists. Each year the top ranked group of graduates are selected from different universities to take part in the program’s activities.
  • The graduates get the chance to meet and learn from many professional experts from multinational petroleum companies.
  • Organized, prepared by EGS (Egyptian Geophysical Society) in Cooperation with EPEX and supported by SEG Sponsored by Shell, Apache Corporation, Apex, BP, Transglobe, Schlumberger, DEA, Kuwait Energy and Rock Hopper.
