Dr. Nourhan Hassan earned her Ph.D. in Molecular and Cancer Biology from the University of Münster, Germany. Her doctoral research investigated the role of syndecan-1 in radiation resistance in triple-negative breast cancer, leading to multiple peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals and several international awards from prestigious scientific organizations.
Following her Ph.D., she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Molecular Medicine Cologne (CMMC), University Hospital Cologne, Germany. Her research focused on advanced biomaterials and regenerative medicine, investigating smart 4D biodegradable metallic shape-shifting implants for dynamic tissue restoration using both in vitro and in vivo models.
Dr. Hassan is currently a Lecturer of Molecular and Cancer Biology in the Department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Science, Cairo University, Egypt. Her research interests span cancer biology, molecular oncology, stem cells, regenerative medicine, bioinformatics, artificial intelligence in biomedical research, and translational medicine. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and actively leads international collaborations, scientific capacity-building initiatives, and training programs aimed at empowering early-career researchers in biomedical sciences.
