Teaches number of classes at Cairo University and other local universities in both undergraduate and post graduate levels. Some examples of classes are outlined in the following paragraphs.
Teaches
at Cairo University and other universities as well. In these mostly senior design studios and graduation project, architectural design challenge is put to students as one of the important Egyptian cities' main issues such as public buildings, densities. Real context study and analysis is a main aspect of this studio. This emphasis on the reality of the design problem is aimed at reaching innovative proposal.
Teaches
at Cairo university where each year a topic is selected for the main assignment aiming at emphasizing the relation of architecture and the city. Some of the recent topics included: "Sacred places in the City", "water and the city"," City as a political space" and " waking in the city".
Experimental design class is an elective design studio where innovations are put high on the agenda of students' proposal criteria.
is also a regular class that I co teach with a colleague at Cairo university where students are not only exposed to theories but encouraged to observe and discuss within a variety of relevant sites in Cairo and other Egyptian cities.
Other post graduate class either taught or still being taught at Cairo university and AAST such as "

Participated, organized and led a number of international workshops that addressed a variety of issues, for example, the international workshop on development north eastern part of historic Cairo with BTU Cottbus, Alexandria and Aleeppo University in Sep. 2012. In Nov. 2012, Macro and micro interventions in informal areas "Ard El-Lewa" workshop was held at Cairo university in collaboration with Politechnico Milano. In March 2014 led and organized an international workshop on:" Al-Midan", the railway station square in Aswan. Invited lecturer at the International workshop on Urban Voids and metropolitan areas, in January 2014, held in Milan Italy.
Participating regularly as an invited external juror for the architectural design studios in many universities such as AUC, AAST, MSA, MIU, Ain Shams University, Mansoura University, Menia university and Helwan university.
Designed and organized Architectural exhibition of the students on year 2012 named "Architectural Aspirations". This is in addition to the yearly participating with my students work in the exhibition.
- Organized five years of a yearly national architectural students competition where international jurors are regularly invited.
Supervised and currently supervision a number of masters and ph.d. students.
Recent research interests focus on Density, Sustainability, Public buildings.
