ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES :
  • Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses of clinical pathology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University.
  • Taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses of clinical pathology in the faculties of veterinary medicine at Alexandria, Zagazig, Suez Canal, Beni Suif, Kafr El-Shiekh, and South Valley Universities.
  • Published forty papers in the field of specialization at both national and international Journals. Subjects included clinicopathological studies on experimental and spontaneous infections in different animals and poultry, mastitis in animals, and studies associated with exposure to different environmental pollutants.
  • Supervised thirty–nine postgraduate students for Master and PhD. degrees at the faculties of veterinary medicine at Cairo University, Beni Suif, Kafr El-Shiekh and South Valley Universities. Subjects included clinicopathological studies on different diseases of animals and poultry, changes associated with exposure to mycotoxins, insecticides and poisonous plants, drug toxicity and its prevention, diagnostic cytology, and molecular biology.
  • Shared as a member of the panel for forty-five Master and PhD. dissertations at various faculties of veterinary medicine in Egypt and at AL-Fateh University, Libya.
  • Appointed as a coordinator of the Veterinary Medical Technicians Training Program held in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University to a group of students from Sultanate of Oman during the period from 1992-1994.
  • Director of the Project "Establishment of Internal Quality Assurance system" (2004 - 2007), and director of the Quality Assurance Unit (2005 - 2007), Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University.
  • Evaluated and assessed three research projects submitted to the Grants Program, City of King Abdel Aziz for Sciences and Technology, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the period from 2001-2009.
  • Member of the Committees for promoting staff members of the Institute of Veterinary Sera and Vaccines (1997- 2007), and The General Authority for Veterinary Services (2000-2004), Ministry of Agriculture, Egypt.
  • Member of Genetic Engineering Committee, National Council for Education, Academic Research and Technology, Specialized National Councils of Egypt from 2002-2004.  Shared in preparing a paper entitled genetically modified food.
  • Participated in the preparation of a presentation to The Council of Cairo University entitled "Status of application of the Credit Hours System at faculties of Cairo University", 2004.
  • Member of the Academic Committee for promoting faculty members in Veterinary Pathology, Microbiology and Parasitology, Supreme Council of Universities during the period from 2001- 2004.
  • Chairman of the Academic Committee for promoting assistant professors to professors in Veterinary Pathology and Clinical Pathology, Supreme Council of Universities from 2004 to 2008.
  • President of the Arab Association of Veterinary Medical Faculties from October 2003 to October 2004.
  • Awarded Cairo University Valuation Reward in the field of Interdisciplinary-Multispecialty and Future Sciences (2008).
  • Member of the Committee of Veterinary Medicine Sector, Supreme Council of Universities, Egypt from 1998-2006. Worked as the Secretary General of the Committee during the period from 1999 to 2001. Took part in preparing a work paper of “A future outlook on veterinary education in Egypt”, and a guidelines booklet on preparing curricula of veterinary medical faculties.
  • President of the Committee of Veterinary Medicine Sector, Supreme Council of Universities from 2008-2018.
