Assistant Lecturer at Department of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Arts

An Assistant Lecturer with 11 years experience in teaching English for Specific Purposes, General and Academic Writing and more than 4 year experience of teaching Academic Writing for English Studies undergraduate and Western literary theory.

My MA grappled with the understudied hermeneutic contributions of the Egyptian scholar Nasr Hamid Abu Zayd compared with Friedrich Schleiermacher. My doctoral proposal challenges the confines of Western critical and literary theory along with postcolonial studies by delving into the Arabo-Islamic reception and development of dialectic in three key figures: al-Farabi, Ibn Sina and Sayf al-Din al-Amidi.
