Bio
Dr. Eng. Mostafa Rashad Mohamed Mahmoudis a Lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Design and Production Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University. He earned hisB.Sc.,M.Sc., andPh.D.degrees inMechanical Design and Production EngineeringfromCairo University.
His research focuses onmachine design, computer-aided design (CAD), finite element analysis (FEA), optimization of roll pass design, and steel manufacturing processes.
He is the author of the 2024 SpringerOpen research article titled “Optimal design of round-oval-round roll pass for the steel bar rolling process,” published in the Journal of Engineering and Applied Science (Volume 71, Article Number 224,Authored on October 15, 2024).
Dr. Mostafa received theSecond Place Awardin the2024 Arab Iron and Steel Union’s “Best Scientific Research” competition, announced at the17th Arab Steel Summitheld inDoha, Qatar. His work bridges academic research and industrial application, emphasizing sustainable and efficient steel production through computational modeling and design optimization.
