In 2009, I graduated with an excellent grade from the faculty of Urban and Regional Planning, Cairo University, Egypt. From 2009 to 2011, I was an Urban Planner at the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Development. After that, I worked as a teaching assistant at Cairo University's Faculty of Regional and Urban Planning. After graduating with a master's degree in regional planning and development in 2015, I worked in the Regional Development department as an assistant lecturer until 2018. My current position is as a Ph.D. researcher in regional development at the School of Regional Policy and Economics at the University of Pécs in Hungary. Among my interests are regional innovation policies, spatial science, and smart city policies.
