Mohamed Fouad Aly (PhD)

Mohamed Fouad Aly is a Professor of paleontology and stratigraphy,  the formar Chairman of the Department of Geology, Cairo University. I received an honors degree in Geology, followed by a paleontology MSc and Ph. D. from   Cairo University. I have more than 30 years’ experience of working on the Lower Cretaceous fauna of north Sinai Egypt. Mohamed Aly’s research interests include Mesozoic (primarily Cretaceous) invertebrate marine faunas, paleoecology, paleobiogeography, taphonomy, biostratigraphy, and functional morphology. He is published many peer-reviewed papers in the fields of the taxonomy of the Cretaceous ammonoids, biostratigraphy, corals, rudists and other invertebrates. These papers covering paleontological studies on Egypt, Jordan, UAE, Oman, Libya, and Morocco. Mohamed Aly is supervised many M.Sc and Ph. D. students in the fields of invertebrate and vertebrate paleontology.
