Scientific Publication in Egyptian Archaeology

This course on the international publication in Egyptian archaeology contains 12 classes. It is taught to the pre-doctoral students at the Dep of Egyptology of Cairo University! It tackles many crucial points on:

-what is international publication?

-why is it important to publish?

-what are the impact-factor journals in the field of Egyptian archaeology?

-how to submit a paper via the portal of these journals?

-how can scholars avoid a 'rejection' by different journals?

-skills of academic writing

Ancient Egyptian Religion (536)

This course focuses on 'the ancient Egyptian religion'. It gives the1st year student of the Diploma of the Egyptian archaeology a solid background on the ancient Egyptian religion, including the idea of god in ancient Egypt, the attributes of the differnt gods and thier costumes, their cult centres, the books of the afterlife, the different criteria which are used to prove a cult of a god or a goddess in ancient Egypt.

Egyptian Archaeology (EA203)

This course focuses on the architecture and the art of the Old Kingdom and the I st Intermediate Period. It is a compulsory subject.

Egyptian archaeology (EA 207)

This subject investigates the architecture and the art of the Middle Kingdom and the 2nd Intermediate Period. It is for the students of the 2nd year BA. It tackles the monuments of the MK and SIP including the pyramids, non-royal tombs, royal and non-royal statues and masterpieces at the national and international museums.
