Dr. Mahmoud Mabrouk Ibrahim is a Lecturer in Urban Planning at Cairo University's Faculty of Urban and Regional Planning (FURP), specializing in urban resilience, climate adaptation, and spatial planning methodologies. He earned his Ph.D. from Zhejiang University, China, with a focus on flood-resilient cities, and has published extensively in high-impact Q1 journals including Science of the Total Environment and Journal of Environmental Management. With over seven years of industry experience at firms such as Khatib & Alami and Genesis, he has contributed to large-scale master planning and infrastructure projects across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. His work integrates advanced GIS, remote sensing, and multi-criteria decision-making tools to advance evidence-based, climate-resilient urban development.
