Laila Nassef received the Bachelor of Science Degree in electronics and communications from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt in 1984 and Master of Science Degree in electronics and computers from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt in 1989. She received her Ph.D. degree in computer engineering from Anglia Polytechnic University, England in 1997. She joined the National Telecommunications Institute in Cairo, Egypt in 1985. She joined the Institute of Statistical Studies and Research of Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt in 2001. Currently, she is an associate professor with department of computer science, faculty of Computing and Information Technology, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, KSA. Her research interests include wireless ad hoc and sensor networks, cognitive networks, heterogeneous networks, smart grid communications, multiple access technologies for 5G, millimeter wave channel modeling, and communication protocols for Internet of Things.
