Kamal Ahmed

D. Kamal Mostafa Ahmed is an assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at Cairo University. He earned his Ph. D. from the University of Washington - Seattle, USA in 1998 in remote sensing. D. Ahmed has a master of Science from Cairo University in surveying and a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Cairo University.

D. Ahmed teaches sureveying engineering for civil and Arch engineering students, as well as graduate courses in remote sensing and LIDAR. He was the president of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS)-PSR, earned a teaching award from the University of Washington, and was selected by his students as one of their best professors in Cairo University.

His research activities included different disiplines such as: LIDAR, Remote Sensing in general, GPS, Green Road Construction, automated machine guidance, and optimization of construction delivery methods.
