Dr Elsayed received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt, in 1991 and 1996 respectively in Physics. He received his PhD from ODU, VA, USA in 2002 in Electrical Engineering. Dr Elsayed worked for NASA Langley research center, Science and Technology Corp, Hampton University, City University of New York. Dr. Elsayed is now an associate professor at Cairo University. His research areas include Laser Research & Development (Developing, assembling and testing of prototype laser and laser lidar systems), Laser spectroscopy, laser interaction with matter, Laser induced breakdown spectroscopy and its applications, and Nanotechnology.
