Iman M. Eissa, MD, is currently an assistant professor of Ophthalmology at Cairo University. In 2017, Dr. Iman obtained a certificate in medical education and curriculum development. She has a great passion for teaching the undergraduate course for fourth year medical students, and has actively contributed to the upgrade of this curriculum, introduction of problem based learning and writing the new integrated curriculum. Iman was a member of the supreme committee for preparation and planning of the credit point system new medical program.
Clinical areas of expertise include glaucoma and investigative Ophthalmology. Prof. Dr. Iman has published several research papers locally and internationally. Her research areas of interest include glaucoma, refractive surgery, investigative Ophthalmology and Ocular immunology.
Iman has attended several courses offered by the faculty leadership and development program "FLDP", and is committed to providing world class educational strategies to students and postgraduate candidates executing their research at Cairo University Hospital, Kasr Al Aini. This is coupled with a passion for building highly effective teams.
