Hossam is currently working as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Engineering - Cairo University. He was graduated in 2011 from the Mechanical Power Department with Distinction with Honors grade.

On research side, Hossam had a rich experience with simulation and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) techniques using many packages, like MATLAB and ANSYS FLUENT in his MSc. degree research. Using highly detailed simulation, he investigated many design alternatives for different conditioned air delivery systems (e.g. Mixing Ventilation and Personalized Ventilation systems), and studied the effects of many parameters, such as air flow rate and exhaust grills locations on the thermal comfort status for a sitting working occupant within an office environment. The used CFD model could accurately predict the air flow patterns, and gave air velocity results very close to the experimental measurements. A significant conclusion that recommends the usage of Personalized Ventilation systems to maintain a thermally-comfortable microenvironment for office occupants.
