Professional Experience:
Considerable experience in:
- Performing and interpretation of various molecular biology tests (DNA and RNA preparations, PCR and RT-PCR, Southern blot) for gene rearrangements and expressions especially for acute leukemias.
- Performing and interpretation of various haematological blood tests done for benign and malignant conditions e.g. blood picture and bone marrow aspirates morphology and cytochemistry as well as blood chemistry tests, basic microbiology tests and urine and stool examination
- Interpretation of immunophenotyping of leukaemia and lymphoma.
- Interpretation of HLA tissue typing by the serological method.
- Fair knowledge about the use and application of the light cycler.
- Worked at the Gray Laboratory, CRC in the UK as a research student for 13 months, which allowed me to deal with different methods of cancer research, in particular radiobiology. My work included tissue culture, the use of Flowcytometery and the dynamic microscopic image processor scanner (DMIPS).
