Dr. Hazem Elanwar is a member of the Steel Structures group as a part of the Structural Engineering Department - Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University. He holds the following degrees:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering (Cairo University - 2009)
- M.S. in Structural Engineering (Cairo University - 2011)
- Ph.D. in Structural Engieering (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign - 2014)
Dr. Hazem Elanwar taught several graduate and undergraduate courses including steel structures 1, steel structures 2, steel bridges, earthquake engineering and structural analysis.
Research Overview:
Dr. Hazem Elanwar is interested in several civil engineering topics including
- Model updating in hybrid simulation tests
- System identification and structural health monitoring
- Using computer vision tools for dynamic identification purposes
- Structural and Geotechnical earthquake engineering
