At the end of this course, the student should be able to:

  1. 1.      Define the Laplace Transform  and discuss existence and basic properties
  2. Apply Laplace transforms to solve initial value problems
  3. Identify Functions of a Complex Variable and their basic properties.
  4. Explain the properties of analytic functions and Classify Singularities
  5. Identify Conformal Mappings.
  6. Calculate derivatives, integrals, series expansions and residues at singularities of complex-valued functions
  7. Create elementary conformal mappings
  8. Know and identify MATLAB’s syntax, desktop and tools Programming
  9. Solve engineering problems using MATLAB programming
