Bio
Professor Gaber graduated from the faculty of science with a B.Sc. in biophysics in 1987 from Cairo University with a grade of distinction with honor, followed by M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Molecular biophysics in 1991 and 1995, respectively, from the same school. He was awarded many fellowships such as the Fulbright fellowship. He was also a visiting professor at the department of chemical engineering at the University of Birmingham, UK. In 2016 he became the chairman of the biophysics department at Cairo University. In 2003, he was awarded a prize for
distinguished research in basic science. Professor Gaber is a fellow of the American
society of Biophysics, International clinical hyperthermia society, National Committee for Basic Sciences Sector, Supreme Council of the Egyptian Universities, and Council of Basic Science Sector, Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, Egypt. He is a member of several editorial boards of peer-reviewed journals as well as ad hoc reviewer for more than 30 journal. Professor Gaber is afellow of the Royal academy of Engineering, and member of the national committeeof pure and applied physics. Dr Gaber's h-index is 13, I10 index of 16 and published more than 30 research articles in peer-reviewed journals (1320 citations) and attended more than 15 national and international conferences. He supervised more than 30
Master and PhD students.
