Dr. Elkady has more than 20 years of research and professional experience in the arena of geotechnical and geo-environmental engineering.  Dr. Elkady received his B.Sc. in civil engineering from Cairo University in 1993. Upon graduation, Dr. Elkady was appointed to the Soil mechanics and Foundations Research Laboratory at Cairo University where he currently serves as an associate professor.   Dr. Elkady received his M.Sc. and from Cairo University and his Ph.D. in geotechnical engineering from Arizona State University. As an associate professor at Cairo University, Dr. Elkady taught undergraduate and graduate courses including soil mechanics, foundation engineering, soil testing, soil dynamics, soil hydraulics, and rock mechanics.  Dr. Elkady collaborated on several research projects that were funded by governmental and scientific entities.  He participated in giving several independent geotechnical and geo-environmental training courses sponsored by private and international agencies such as USAID and UNICEF.
