Dr.Omar Shokry is a lecturer at the Aerospace engineering department at Cairo University. He has obtained his B.Sc and M.Sc degrees from Cairo university in 2009 and 2013 respectively. He has earned his Ph.D degree from the university of Alabama in 2018. His research interests lie in the fields of aeroelasticity, structures optimization, uncertainty analysis, and unsteady aerodynamics.

- Graduated at the top of the 2009 class.
- The Undergraduate graduation project (Design and Manufacturing of a Micro Air Vehicle ) was one of the top five graduation projects in the Samsung real dream award competition 2009.
- Full Gradaute Scholarship from the University of Alabama.
- The paper entitled "Multi- Dimensional Optimization of Functionally Graded Material composition using polynomial Expansion of the Volume Fraction" is featured as a scientific key article in "Advances in Engineering Magazine", August 2017.
