Clinical Demonsterator of Ophthalmology:

Academic Duties

:
-Teaching Clinical Ophthalmology for under graduate students.
-Assisting senior staff in evaluation of under graduate students.
-Sharing and attending scientific meetings.
-Research work.

-Clinical Duties:


Attending outpatient:

2 clinics per week with average number of 40 patients per clinic with the following duties

:


-Examination and management of new patients. -Supervision of residents in examination of new patients.Follow up of
established patients.
-Minor operations e.g chalazion, electrolysis of rubbing lashes….etc.

LASER Procedures:

e.g. YAG capsluotomy,
Argon retinal photo –coagulation ….etc

Staff round:

with senior staff for examination and evaluation of admitted patients in our department.

Operation day per week

:
-Performing surgical procedures e.g. Cataract Extraction (phacoemulsification), Glaucoma surgeries, Keratoplasty,
Retinal Detachment Surgery,…...etc.
-Assisting residents in their cases.
-Assisting senior staff in advanced cases.

On call 24 hours per week for casualty:


cases like trauma cases, congestive glaucoma, infections…etc.
