Dr.Wessam Nasr

Professor of Media in the Radio and Television Department, Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University. She received her PhD in Media in 2006 with First Class Honors for her dissertation entitled "The Role of Awareness Campaigns on Radio and Television in the Health Education of Egyptian Women," after obtaining her Master's degree in 2001 with Distinction for her study on "Factors Affecting Women's Participation in Television Programs." Her academic career began after graduating from the Faculty of Mass Communication in 1995 with a very good grade with honors, ranking first in her class.

She progressed through the academic ranks at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University, starting as a teaching assistant in 1996, then assistant lecturer in 2001, lecturer in 2006, and associate professor in 2013, finally attaining the rank of full professor in 2019.

Throughout her academic career, she held several leadership positions, including Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University, a position she still holds, and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication for Graduate Studies and Research for two consecutive terms starting in October 2020. She also served as Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication and Information Technology at Suez University for the 2019/2020 academic year, contributing to the establishment of its administrative and academic structure in its early years. Additionally, she served as Acting Head of the Radio and Television Department at the Faculty from September 2022 to June 2023, and Acting Director of the Center for Public Opinion Research and Studies from May 2015 until the end of April 2016.
