Assistant professor of Economic Entomology

Abdelaziz Mansour is an academic and researcher with 10+ years of experience in teaching, research, and community engagement at various Universities. He earned his BSc in Plant Protection from Cairo University, where he also served as a teaching staff member in the fields of basic plant protection and economic entomology. Mansour later pursued his MSc in Insect Microbiome from Huazhong Agricultural University, where his work focused on exploring microbial diversity and composition in edible insects used as animal feed. His research also examined waste bioconversion processes, utilizing insects and microbes to recycle agricultural residues and enhance the breakdown of lignocellulosic materials. Most recently, he completed his PhD at Pusan National University, South Korea. His doctoral research employed advanced techniques to investigate the potential roles of associated microbes in edible insect environment, contributing to better understanding insect-microbe interactions.
