Bio

Dr. Soliman has more than 15 years of experience as a researcher and consultant in surface hydrology, flood protection, storm drainage, water resources, river hydraulics, dams, networks, and environmental projects. Dr. Soliman obtained his Ph.D. in 2015 at the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, Egypt, in the field of dam hydraulic and hydrologic analyses. Dr. Soliman has several papers published in international and national journals in the field of dams, surface hydrogeology, open channel hydraulics, and water resources management. Dr. Soliman’s major research interest is in numerical simulation of hydrologic systems including the development and application of numerical models that allow for a better understanding of the system and allow for decision making within an uncertain environment. He is currently an assistant professor at Cairo University Faculty of Engineering, where he is teaching several courses including (but not limited to) surface and subsurface hydrology, water resources, fluid mechanics, design of small dams, municipal hydraulics, advanced fluid mechanics, and computational hydraulics.
