is Professor of Statistics where he has been since 2008. He also currently an Adjunct Professor, Mathematics and Actuarial Science Department at the American University in Cairo since 1997. He Worked as a vice dean for Graduate Studies and Research at Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Future University between September 2015 and September 2019. He also worked as a vice dean for Education and Students’ Affairs at Faculty of Economics and Political Science between November 2011 and June 2015. During 2000-2006 he was a Visiting Associate Professor at King Saud University. He received a B.Sc. of Statistics in 1983 and M.Sc. of Statistics in 1987, from Cairo University. He received his Ph.D. of Statistics and applied Probability from the University of Alberta, Canada in 1996.
His research interests lie in the areas of Mathematical Statistics, Structural Change, and Approximation Theory. He has published his research articles in more than a dozen different peer-reviewed journals, including Statistics and Decisions, Biometrical Journal, Utilitas Mathematica, Metrika, Journal of Data Science, Journal of Applied Statistical Science, American Journal of Mathematics and Statistics and Quality and Reliability Engineering International.
