Biography

I have a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture Sciences (Soil and Water Sciences) from the Soil and Water Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Kafrelsheikh University, Egypt. I then obtained a Master's degree in Natural Resources (Soil Resources) from the Natural Resources Department, Faculty of African Postgraduate Studies, Cairo University, Egypt. Recently, I completed my Ph.D. in Cartography and Geographic Information Systems (Remote Sensing of Land and Water Resources) from the Aerospace Information Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences (AIRCAS), and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), China.

My research interests are coupling Earth observations, machine learning, cloud computing, and soil-crop modeling to achieve related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). I have considerable experience with quantitative data analysis of environmental and spatial datasets using programming languages (Python and JavaScript), cloud computing (Google Earth Engine, Google Colab, Pangeo, and Planetary Computer), and desktop software (QGIS, ArcGIS Pro, and Agisoft Metashape).
