Dr. Antoine Dimitri graduated from the Mechanical Design Department, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, with distinction and honors. He earned his PhD degree in mechanical engineering from Cairo University. He conducted research for PhD on the development of smart integrated bearings for industrial rotors. His PhD thesis received the Excellence Award in Postgraduate Studies.
Dr. Dimitri has several years of experience teaching mechanical engineering in reputable institutions. He is an assistant professor in Cairo University and adjunct professor at the American University in Cairo. He also joined the NGU teaching staff.
Throughout his research career, he participated in many research grants. He has worked on the development of bearings and industrial pumps, where he has numerous publications. His research interests are diverse and include rotor dynamics, vibration measurements, system identification and control, and the development of magnetic actuators.
